About Us

Founded at the beginning of 2026, The Whiskers Network was created by people who had worked with other local rescues and felt there was a better way.

We believe every cat deserves individual attention, a calm and supportive environment while waiting for their forever home, and a carefully matched placement rather than a rushed one.

Instead of operating from a traditional shelter, we work entirely through a network of dedicated foster homes. This means each cat lives in a real household where they can relax, show their true personality, and receive one-to-one care. Our fosterers play a central role—they get to know the cats deeply and help us understand what kind of home will suit each one best.

We partner closely with local communities, vets, and supporters to make sure no cat is left behind. From the moment a cat comes into our care, we focus on their physical health, emotional wellbeing, and the specific needs that will help them thrive long-term. Matching is never about simply filling spaces; it is about finding the right people for the right cat, so the adoption lasts.

By keeping our approach foster-based, community-driven, and deliberately thoughtful, we aim to give every cat the best possible chance of a happy, permanent home.

Admin Team

The Admin team works quietly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly so the cats in our care never go without.

From coordinating foster homes and tracking medical records to managing adoptions, communications, and day-to-day logistics, they handle the essential details that make our work possible.

Their focus is practical and constant: making sure supplies arrive on time, appointments are organised, paperwork is accurate, and every cat’s needs are properly recorded and followed up. By taking care of the organisation and coordination, the Admin team frees fosterers and volunteers to concentrate on the cats themselves—giving them the time, attention, and care they deserve.

Our Commitment to Cats

At The Whiskers Network, our mission is simple but deeply felt: to find a forever home for every cat in our care. We believe that the right match between a cat and a family can transform both of their lives, and we work thoughtfully to create those meaningful connections.

Every adoption is more than a placement — it is a new beginning. We take the time to understand each cat’s personality, history, and needs, then carefully pair them with people who can offer the loving, supportive environment they deserve. Our goal is not just to rehome cats, but to help them settle into safe, lasting homes where they can truly thrive.

Beyond individual adoptions, we are committed to educating the public about responsible cat care and the realities faced by cats who have gone unnoticed for too long. Through our work, we aim to give these animals the second chance they deserve and to build a more compassionate community around them.

Every cat who comes into The Whiskers Network’s care has their own story, personality, and needs. Some arrive as confident characters ready to explore a new home; others are quieter, more cautious, or recovering from difficult starts. We take the time to get to know each one properly — observing how they behave in a foster home, what makes them feel safe, and what kind of environment will help them settle and thrive.

Our cats come in all ages, colours, and temperaments. Whether they are playful kittens, independent adults, or gentle seniors looking for a quieter life, each one is treated as an individual. We focus on their physical health, emotional wellbeing, and the specific support they need while they wait for the right match.

By giving them time, patience, and consistent care in a real home setting, we help them show their true selves. This means that when the perfect family comes along, the connection is stronger and the new beginning more likely to last.
